As the EU AI Act enters its implementation phase, ensuring high-quality and unbiased training data has become a key requirement for trustworthy AI systems. This article presents RAIDO’s bias detection module, which helps identify and assess potential biases in datasets before AI models are trained. By supporting fairness assessment, bias mitigation, and compliance with data governance requirements, the module contributes to the development of more transparent, reliable, and human-centred AI solutions.

Trustworthy AI begins long before deployment. This article introduces the RAIDO Ethics Helpdesk, an initiative that embeds ethical considerations throughout the project’s AI development lifecycle. By encouraging dialogue among technical, legal, and ethics experts, the Helpdesk helps address challenges related to transparency, fairness, accountability, and human oversight, ensuring that responsible AI principles remain an integral part of the project’s activities.

RAIDO partner Awareness Movement (AWM) participated in the Climate Justice Forum in Cyprus, contributing to discussions on sustainable development, energy transition, and citizen participation. The event provided an opportunity to demonstrate how RAIDO’s AI technologies can support more transparent, efficient, and sustainable energy systems while strengthening the connection between digital innovation, climate action, and civil society.
