As part of the RAIDO partner video series, we turn the spotlight to BIOLYNX (KRE) and its contribution to the project’s Precision Agriculture pilot, focusing on the application of AI to fermentation processes.
BIOLYNX is a biochemical fermentation research and development laboratory with expertise in using microorganisms for food and feed production, as well as making use of by-products from the food industry. Its experience in laboratory and industrial-scale fermentation provides valuable practical knowledge for RAIDO’s work on AI-driven process optimisation.
Within RAIDO, BIOLYNX contributes to the Precision Agriculture pilot by providing real-world fermentation data, access to its facilities, and expertise in biochemical processes. These contributions support the development and testing of AI models designed to monitor, automate, and optimise fermentation operations.
An important part of this work involves evaluating how AI can help improve the control of key fermentation parameters and overall product quality. By testing the developed models in a real-world environment, BIOLYNX helps connect RAIDO’s AI technologies with practical applications in fermentation and food production.
Through this collaboration, the project explores how data-driven approaches can support more efficient and reliable fermentation processes, contributing to RAIDO’s wider work on Green and Trustworthy AI.
