As part of the RAIDO partner video series, we turn the spotlight to Fujitsu Technology Solutions (FTS) and its contribution to the development of explainable, transparent, and trustworthy AI.
Fujitsu is a global leader in digital transformation and information and communications technologies (ICT), with expertise spanning areas such as artificial intelligence, cloud computing, cybersecurity, data processing, and privacy. Within RAIDO, this background supports the project’s work on AI Explainability, Transparency, Trustworthiness, and AI Ethics.
A key area of Fujitsu’s contribution focuses on the identification and resolution of trustworthy AI and bias issues. Through assessment and mitigation approaches, the team works on methods that can help identify potential biases in data and support the development of more reliable AI systems.
As presented in the video, Fujitsu contributes in particular to RAIDO’s work on Data Labelling and Feature Engineering, where it has developed an approach for assessing dataset balance and potential bias. This includes the Composite Balance Score, which combines different metrics to provide a more comprehensive assessment of balance within datasets.
Fujitsu also supports RAIDO’s activities related to AI Ethics, contributing to the consideration of ethical aspects throughout the development of the project’s AI solutions. Together with its work on explainability and bias assessment, these activities support RAIDO’s broader objective of developing AI technologies that are both technically robust and trustworthy.
