Partner
The Centre for Research and Technology Hellas (CERTH), a leading research institution at the forefront of technological development in Europe, has joined the RAIDO (mention full project name if known) project as a vital technological partner and core member of its first pilot. With a strong commitment to promoting innovative research for societal benefit, CERTH brings extensive expertise in areas ranging from green energy and sustainability to artificial intelligence and advanced computing, making them a valuable asset to the consortium.
Role in RAIDO
CERTH is actively contributing to the RAIDO project, particularly within the first pilot project focused on the “Energy Grid Domain: Power & Energy Grid Management for AI-enabled Optimal Planning.” Their role is multifaceted, leveraging their technological prowess to advance the project’s objectives.
As a key technological partner, CERTH is spearheading the development of the Federated Learning component for the RAIDO platform. This crucial feature will enable users to train their AI models using remote datasets, whether public or private, directly through the platform, fostering collaborative and privacy-preserving AI development.
Furthermore, CERTH is responsible for the design and development of the platform’s User Interface (UI). Recognizing the importance of user engagement, CERTH is creating an intuitive and visually appealing interface that will enhance the overall user experience. This UI will also incorporate a sophisticated visualization engine to present results in an aesthetically pleasing and easily understandable manner, complemented by personalized statistics to support informed decision-making.
In its role as a core member of the first pilot, CERTH is contributing its unique Smart Home infrastructure. This state-of-the-art Energy Building, equipped with advanced building materials and intelligent technologies, provides an ideal real-world environment for exploring various ICT research domains. The Smart Energy House features a comprehensive multi-sensorial network that continuously measures real-time parameters, offering valuable insights into addressing the ongoing challenges of modern homes and workplaces within the context of the RAIDO project’s energy grid focus.
CERTH’s involvement underscores the RAIDO project’s commitment to leveraging cutting-edge research and technology to drive advancements in critical infrastructure management. Their contributions to Federated Learning, user interface design, and the utilization of their Smart Home infrastructure will be instrumental in the success of the energy grid pilot.
