RAIDO FEBRUARY 2026 NEWSLETTER [PART 2]
In the second part of our February update, we dive into the “brain” of RAIDO. From top-tier academic publications to major technical deliverables, our commitment to resource-efficient and transparent AI has never been clearer.
RESEARCH EXCELLENCE: The IEEE-CH Conference

We are proud to highlight the successful presentation and publication of three major papers stemming from our work at the IEEE-CH 2025 conference. These papers represent the technical backbone of our “Green AI” mission:
- Energy-Efficient Federated Learning: Focusing on Cultural Heritage, this paper explores Federated Continual Learning (FCL), allowing institutions to collaborate on AI without sharing raw data—saving both privacy and energy. [Read on Zenodo]
- LexAid-EU: Navigating the complex European legal landscape, this research introduces a RAG-based framework to ground AI answers in authoritative sources like the GDPR, preventing the “hallucinations” common in standard models. [Read on Zenodo]
- MemoryINP: Addressing data scarcity, this novel architecture uses “differentiable memory” to enable AI to learn from very few examples—a game-changer for niche fields like medicine. [Read on Zenodo]
📢 Call for Papers: Join us for the 2nd Workshop on Green Trustworthy AI (GTAI) at IEEE-CH 2026 in Venice! Submissions are open until April 12, 2026. Submit your work here!

TECHNICAL MILESTONE: Deliverable D5.2
We are thrilled to announce the successful submission of D5.2: Hybrid cloud-edge for Green AI Orchestration & Resource Management.
This deliverable is a cornerstone of the RAIDO architecture. It provides the logic for balancing computational loads between the cloud and the edge, ensuring our AI deployments remain high-performing while adhering to strict energy-efficiency targets. You will be able to read the deliverable in more depth when it is uploaded on our Deliverables page.
