RAIDO JULY 2025 NEWSLETTER.
Welcome to the Raido Project’s July newsletter! This issue summarizes our key activities, achievements, and upcoming plans up until July 2025 and beyond.
SUMMARY
July 2025 represents a landmark period for the RAIDO project, marked by the successful completion of a critical milestone and sustained activity in our coordination and dissemination efforts. The achievement of Milestone 3 with the submission of D4.1 demonstrates our continued excellence in delivering comprehensive regulatory and legal frameworks essential for trustworthy AI deployment. This period has been characterized by robust project coordination through regular General Assembly meetings and active participation in high-profile conferences that enhance our visibility within the global AI research community.
As we advance into the second half of 2025, the project continues to demonstrate exceptional progress across all technical domains while preparing for significant autumn activities that will further strengthen our position in the European AI landscape. The successful completion of our legislative analysis deliverable positions RAIDO excellently for navigating the complex regulatory environment surrounding AI deployment, particularly in privacy, intellectual property, and data governance considerations.
MEETINGS & DISCUSSIONS
The June-July period has been characterized by robust coordination activities through two successful General Assembly meetings that maintained our excellent collaborative momentum. The June General Assembly meeting focused on finalizing preparations for Milestone 3 completion, ensuring all technical and administrative components were aligned for successful D4.1 submission. The July General Assembly meeting celebrated the successful completion of Milestone 3 while transitioning focus toward upcoming research dissemination activities and autumn workshop preparations.
Both meetings demonstrated the continued excellence of our project coordination framework and the dedication of all consortium partners to maintaining RAIDO’s progress toward achieving our transformative objectives in trustworthy AI development.
EVENTS

The RAIDO project successfully participated in HEPS 2025 (https://www.heps2025.com) and presented the study: 8.1 Implementing an Ethics by Design Approach in Personalised Preventive Pharmacogenetics: A Pilot Study in Development (link), which explores the RAIDO healthcare pilot focused on pharmacogenetics (PGx) and the development of a personalised preventive healthcare solution using an “Ethics by Design” approach. This study shows our commitment to engaging with diverse science communities and showcasing the relevance of RAIDO’s AI methodologies across multiple scientific domains.
UPCOMING ACTIVITIES
The upcoming September-October 2025 period promises to be exceptionally active for RAIDO, with participation planned in three major international workshops that will showcase our research across diverse AI application domains:
IEEE CH Workshop on Green Trustworthy AI for Digital Humanities and Cultural Heritage (https://www.ieee-ch.org/gtai-ws/), taking place 8-10 Sept. 2025, represents an exciting opportunity to demonstrate RAIDO’s applications in cultural preservation and digital humanities. The project will contribute two paper submissions to this workshop, showcasing how our trustworthy AI methodologies can be applied to cultural heritage preservation while maintaining ethical standards and energy efficiency. This participation aligns perfectly with RAIDO’s commitment to developing AI solutions that serve diverse societal needs while preserving cultural values and heritage.

AI, Data and Robotics Forum (ADRF25) scheduled for September 23-24, 2025, in Stavanger, Norway (https://adrforum.eu/) will provide a premier platform for engaging with European AI policy makers, industry leaders, and researchers. Under the theme “Pioneering the Future: AI, Data and Robotics for a resilient, strategically autonomous and globally competitive Europe,” this forum offers exceptional opportunities to present RAIDO’s contributions to European AI strategic autonomy and competitiveness. The participation will enable valuable networking with key stakeholders and policy makers while showcasing RAIDO’s role in advancing European AI capabilities.

ICCV 2025 Workshop on Low-bit Quantization and Efficient Deep Learning (https://binarynetworks.io/), taking place 19-23 Oct. 2025, will feature RAIDO’s expertise in energy-efficient AI optimization, particularly relevant to the workshop’s focus on model compactness, computational efficiency, and power consumption. The workshop addresses critical challenges in training and deploying low-bit quantized models while maintaining accuracy comparable to full-precision counterparts. With the help of QMUL, RAIDO’s supporting role will contribute valuable insights into efficient deep learning methodologies that align directly with our energy optimization objectives. This participation will strengthen our connections with the computer vision and efficient AI communities while demonstrating practical applications of our optimization techniques.
